"Sophisticated, Funkified, And Sexy as Hell"

Following the success of an "An Area Big Enough To Do It In," the featured single on the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy soundtrack, Prophet Omega got signed to Capitol Records. From there PO found a perfect match being released under Astralwerks, who also represent, The Chemical Brothers, Air, and Fat Boy Slim.

Now that the album is out, check itunes, the PO team just wrapped on the video shoot for "The Right Thing" (see our myspce site for a snippet). It's the campy over the top kind of self-deprecating humor that reminds us all, not to get to work up about the big things.

Called a "Sophisticated, Sonic, Triumph" , by Vanity Fair, Prophet Omega mixes electronica rock-influenced riffs with the internal vibe of old school Motown Funk. P.O.'s loose electronic slant has started a small buzz in the NYC club circuit, where local DJs have been spinning him nightly and, as a result Hank Shocklee, producer of all the early Public Enemy stuff is remixing "Dear Satellite".

Busy Busy Busy

P.O. is currently hunkered down in the lab working on producing and re-mixing various artists. Having gone north to the Black Head Mountains of New York. PO is spending the winter creating the live show with famed bassist Sara Lee of The Gang of Four.

Additionally, it seems that the industry buzz has caught on so quickly P.O. has been asked to remix several national acts in between his own recording sessions. So check in to be the first to hear P.O.'s new remixes. And with the help of Astralwerks, DJs, club owners and promoters alike will be spinning Prophet Omega's grooves nightly when vinyl is dropped.
